Welcome to the Nebraska Indian Online One Stop

Nationally, Native Americans have too few options available to assist them in obtaining employment, education and skill building. In Nebraska, unfortunately, even the resources that are available are under-utilized by the Native American population. The most prevalent contributing factor is the distance that off-reservation Native Americans must travel in order to receive services.

The Nebraska Indian Online One Stop (NIOOS) aims to bridge this geographic hindrance by providing employment assistance, assessment, and links to key resources.

The current employment assistance offered to Nebraska Native Americans is focused on assisting tribal members living on reservation lands. As a result, there remains a need to provide services to off-reservation, and non-Nebraska-based tribal members.

The goal of the NIOOS program is to create and support a web site providing comprehensive employment assistance, guidance, and culturally-appropriate support to Native Americans in Nebraska.
